Maxstar® 400 is a TIG/Stick welding power source that allows for any input voltage hookup (380–575 V) with no manual linking, providing convenience in any job setting. Ideal solution for dirty or unreliable power. DC TIG features an exceptionally smooth and precise arc for welding exotic materials and pulsing that “can increase puddle agitation, arc stability and travel speeds while reducing heat input and distortion.” DC Stick features DIG control—“allows the arc characteristics to be changed for specific applications and electrodes”—and Hot Start™ adaptive control that “provides positive arc starts without sticking.” LiftArc™ provides DC arc initiation without the use of high frequency, while Blue Lightning™ high frequency (HF) arc starter delivers noncontact arc initiation and “more consistent arc starts and greater reliability compared to traditional HF arc starters.” Program memory “features nine independent program memories that maintain/save your parameters,” and Autopostflow “adjusts the length of post flow time based on the amperage setting.” FanOnDemand™ and Wind Tunnel Technology™ help reduce noise, energy use and airborne contaminants. Rated output: 300 A at 32 V, 60% duty cycle. Amperage range: 3–400 A.
