The Maxstar® 800 is a high capacity TIG/Stick welding power source designed for demanding industrial fabrication, operating on AutoLine™ 380–575 V input with no manual linking, making it ideal for dirty or unreliable power environments. It delivers a smooth and precise TIG arc for welding exotic materials and offers extended pulsing ranges to improve arc stability, travel speeds and reduce heat input. Stick welding performance is enhanced with DIG control, allowing arc characteristics to be tailored for specific electrodes, and Hot Start™ adaptive control provides positive arc starts without sticking. LiftArc™ enables DC arc initiation without the use of high frequency, while Blue Lightning™ HF arc starter provides noncontact arc initiation with greater reliability than traditional HF systems. Additional features include program memory with nine independent save slots, Autopostflow for automatic shielding timing adjustment, CoolerOnDemand™, FanOnDemand™, and Wind Tunnel Technology™ for reduced contamination and extended component life. Rated output is 600 A at 44 V, 60% duty cycle, with an amperage range of 5–800 A.
