Plasma cutting, also known as plasma arc cutting, involves melting material using a jet of ionised gas exceeding 20,000°C to remove it. The process creates an electric arc between an electrode and the workpiece. The electrode, housed within a water- or air-cooled gas nozzle, constrains the arc, producing a narrow, high-temperature, high-velocity plasma jet.
We offer a range of portable Plasma Cutters for hire and sale, including the Hypertherm Powermax range, Lincoln Electric Tomahawk Plasma Cutters and Jackle Plasma Cutters that can help fabricators tackle a range of metal thicknesses. Our experienced team can recommend options for hand-cutting, robotic cutting, portability and minimal maintenance, helping you save time and reduce waste.
